DISC is one of the world’s most widely used and recognized personality assessment tools. It is successfully applied across both large and small organizations worldwide to work purposefully with recruitment, leadership, development, sales, negotiation, collaboration, team building, and communication.
There are many different versions of DISC, and at DISCnordic we use the Everything DiSC® assessment from Wiley. This represents the latest generation of DiSC tools on the market. To use an Everything DiSC® profile, a DISC certification is required.

What do the words around the circle mean?
There are eight words around the circle (see image 1). These words describe the priorities of people with different DiSC styles. Priorities represent the primary areas where a person focuses their energy.
How can I see which priorities I have?
The color shading on the Everything DiSC® map highlights a person’s priorities. Everyone has at least three priorities — that is, the words closest to their dot on the map. Some people may have one or two additional priorities (see image 2).

Personal: The Everything DiSC Workplace® profile is the most personalized profile available. It provides insight into who you relate to and how you respond to others. Quite simply, the profile is all about you.
In-depth: Everything DiSC Workplace® is application-specific — designed to help individuals communicate more effectively in the workplace. The profile, facilitation materials, and videos are all workplace-focused. The tips and strategies you receive help you create a better work environment — one relationship at a time.
Accurate: Everything DiSC Workplace® uses an adaptive testing framework and a new, advanced scoring algorithm to provide participants with the most accurate DiSC profile available. The value of adaptive testing has been thoroughly proven, and the assessment aligns closely with psychological standards.
Flexible: Through EPIC, our online system for delivering profiles, trainers and facilitators can tailor reports to fit specific schedules and workshops. The facilitation materials are provided as unlocked PowerPoint® slides and Word documents, making it easier than ever to create a customized program.
Engaging follow-up tools: Everything DiSC® Comparison Reports offer a simple and fun way to continue learning after the training session. These follow-up reports can be generated for any two participants to illustrate their similarities and differences.
Effective user experience: A more accurate assessment leads to a more precise profile, greater personalization, and a more rewarding experience for participants.

When respondents complete the adaptive Everything DiSC Workplace questionnaire, they are presented with a series of statements about themselves. Each respondent is asked to indicate how much they agree with each statement.
Statements are used to collect the responses (see image 1).
If a person’s answers are inconsistent on a particular scale — for example, if some C-related items are rated high and others low — they will receive additional questions to clarify their placement. Likewise, if a person’s answers indicate two equally strong styles, they will be asked a few more questions to determine whether one style is slightly stronger than the other (see image 2).

How many questions are there?
The number of questions varies from one respondent to another. The adaptive testing framework begins with an initial group of questions. As the person responds, EPIC adjusts the following questions based on their previous answers.
Therefore, the total number of questions will differ for each individual, depending on how they respond.
How long does it take to complete?
It takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete all the statements.
